Computerised ECT Machine – Overview
The MEDICA computerised brief pulse ECT system is designed for psychiatry departments, teaching hospitals and research institutions that want complete seizure monitoring and documentation with every session. It integrates five recording channels — EEG, ECG and EMG — with a synchronized display alongside stimulus delivery.
An optical motion sensor helps confirm motor seizure activity, the automatic impedance check confirms electrode contact before stimulation, and treatment parameters can be customised for each patient. All sessions are stored for long-term archiving, audit and research.
Our ECT installations include Command Hospital (Eastern Command) Kolkata, AIIMS Kalyani, Guwahati Medical College, Military Hospital Beltola and Ispat Hospital Rourkela. Optional accessories include a 3 kVA online UPS and a compatible PC and printer.
